LATEST UPDATE

V0.76: Saved States & Quick Share

Save as many scenarios as you want, switch between them, and share any of them with a code or link.

v0.75

V0.75: Promote two-ways to standard

Sign a two-way now, promote him to a standard deal later. Plus two-way and roster fixes.

New

  • Promote a two-way to a standard contract.

Improved and fixed

  • Removing a two-way now clears the slot for real, including in Shams World.
  • Sign Shams-reported two-ways, even with the Shams overlay off.
  • Fixed the Minimum Roster Spots count.
  • Restored the option to renounce your free agents.
  • Sturdier two-way guardrails; they stay out of other teams' trade pools.

V0.71-4: Two-way contracts & a feedback board

Two-way deals are here, the feedback board is live, and a bunch of cap math got less weird.

New

  • Two-way contracts. Sign players into a dedicated 3-slot two-way rail. They carry $0 cap, tax, and apron impact. They stay out of your standard roster count & trade pools.
  • Feedback board. See submitted ideas & bugs with their status (planned, in progress, or fixed), right on this page. Got a 5-character receipt from the feedback form? Look it up to find your item.
  • Fresh Shams World data. Updated through June 27, 2026, with late-June reported moves added.

Improved & fixed

  • Exact rookie-scale holds. 2026 first-round cap holds now use the exact 120% rookie-scale values instead of rounded estimates.
  • Cap room is less moody. The same final roster should no longer show different cap room based on signing order, and $0 room or exception moves stay cap-neutral when they should.
  • Trade exceptions got a red-team pass. The Trade Machine more consistently elects the biggest useful one, preserves your MLE when it can, and avoids new hard caps when it can.
  • Roster counts cleaned up. Two-way players stay out of the wrong pools, future-exception signings can still use future standard roster spots, and final roster payroll no longer treats incomplete-roster charges like real salary.
  • Small-screen fixes. The Reset button is back on phones, and the SIGN VIA selector wraps better on narrow screens.

Under the hood, a pile of accounting, trade-exception, feedback-board, crawler, and loading-state plumbing changed so the app can be boring in the places where boring is the dream.

v0.70

V0.70: 日本語対応 (Now in Japanese)

CapMVP now speaks Japanese. A welcome to our Japanese community below, plus a compact-UI overhaul and a Team Snapshot fix.

New

  • 日本語対応 (Japanese support). アプリ内で日本語が利用可能になりました。The app is now available in Japanese; switch language in the footer.

Improved & fixed

  • Compact UI overhaul. It was bad. It’s now less bad. It’ll be better with time.
  • Fixed an MLE bug that showed signings as $0 and wouldn’t let you move them in Team Snapshot. Thank you to the anonymous feedback-form user!

Coming soon

  • For our global users, stay tuned: more languages are coming soon!

Keep the feedback coming. Some changes take more time, but 100% of them are done or on the to-do list.

v0.68-9

V0.68-9: Draft Done

The 2026 draft is fully in and oh so many bugs were created and killed.

New, Fixed, & Improved

  • The 2026 draft in
  • Cleaned up the UI
  • Bugs, oh so many bugs
v0.65-7

New

  • Shams World. An overlay of real NBA transactions we feel confident are real. It is named after Shams out of acknowledgement of his reporting. No affiliation.
  • Team Snapshot Depth Chart. A new depth-chart panel with BBall-Index defensive roles (No affiliation, but we strongly recommend a subscription), plus flatter, cleaner snapshot panels.
  • Salary, always in view. A sticky, tabbed Salary / Transactions panel: salary up front so you can see it while making moves on wider screens.

Fixed & improved

  • Buyout players now appear in the Free Agent (FA) list.
  • Fixed a bug with cap-space teams spending on their own FAs.
  • Every team’s 2026 first-rounder now appears properly in the Trade Machine.
  • Improved signing of minimum contracts in the FA hub.
  • Less fake “illegal roster” notices.
  • Upgrades to the FA hub, including updated offensive filters and a combined “All” panel.
  • And so much more…
v0.61-4

V0.61-4: Smarter Cap Tools & a Pile of Polish

Three updates in one: tradable draft picks, clearer cap and apron tools, and a long list of fixes.

New & improved

  • 2026 draft picks properly integrated, with both trading as a pick & salary options.
  • Apron at a glance. Cap-space teams get a compact “to 1st apron” readout right in the Trade Machine header, so you always know your room.
  • BBall-Index defensive role. A free-agent filter, so you can hunt for a Point of Attack, a Chaser, an Anchor Big, and more.
  • Easy veteran minimums. A player’s exact minimum and the 1-year cap break, right in the re-sign editor.
  • Team Snapshot upgrades. A new Roles layout (Starters, Rotation, Depth) and smoother switching.

Fixed & improved

  • Cap-space salary bar. Now fills continuously toward the apron instead of looking empty once you cross the cap.
  • Sharper on small screens. No more cramped or cut-off labels when you zoom in or build on a phone.
  • Smarter menus. The Trade Machine’s destination picker flips and repositions so it never opens off-screen.
  • Contract years shown consistently, exact minimums sourced from the engine, and better keyboard access in dialogs.
  • And so much more…
v0.60

V0.60: Free Agent Filters & Feedback

Search the free-agent market by role, archetype, team, and projected salary, plus a direct line to tell me what to fix next.

New

  • Free Agent Filters. Search and narrow the market instantly by role, offensive archetype, team, and estimated future salary.
  • Feedback Form. So we can fix everything bothering you.

Fixed & Improved

  • MLE & BAE re-signs
  • Renounced free agent re-signing
  • Cap-space salary header
  • Streamlined over-cap warnings
  • Easy veteran minimums
  • Cap-space UI fixes
  • And so much more…
v0.53

V0.53: A Quick Trade Machine Update

More info, more control. A few quick, easy wins on the Trade Machine.

Trade Machine

  • Asks before using your MLE. If a trade is only legal because it spends your Mid-Level Exception, it now asks you first.
  • Clearer language explaining why a trade is allowed or blocked.
  • The math, broken down more clearly.
v0.52

V0.52: 24 Hours Later

We’re back within 24 hours. Mostly removed bugs, oh so many bugs, but added a few new things too. More on the way. Please keep reporting issues!

Fixed

  • The Mid-Level Exception. The math and the signing flow, rebuilt and rule-accurate.
  • A bunch of UI rough edges.

Removed

  • Redundant panels. Less clutter.
  • Buggy buttons.

Added

  • New team snapshot. A slimmer, cleaner shareable team card.
  • Sign free agents inside the Trade Machine. No more leaving the trade to sign a guy.
  • New look for hard-capped teams. Clearer apron warnings, with a tap to see why.

... and much more. It’s been a busy 24 hours.
